Besides its economic impact in the communities where it operates - paying claims, payroll, and supplies - Utica National and its employees also contribute to the well-being of those communities by actively supporting many civic and charitable causes. Utica National also sponsors a generous matching gift program for colleges and universities that allows employees to double the amount of their gift, dollar for dollar, through a company match.

In Central New York, the Utica National Group Foundation was established in 1989 to provide grants to non-profit organizations in Oneida, Herkimer and Madison counties. In 2001, the Foundation passed the $2 million milestone, in gifts made to more than 100 organizations.
