Our financials are reviewed by the A.M. Best Company, a firm with more than 90 years experience in the business. A.M. Best is the premier rater of its kind in the world and uses some 70 different financial tests to arrive at its rating. A.M. Best rates us "A-" or "Excellent."

Our independent auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers, reviews our financial statement very carefully, and has given us a certified audit with no exceptions. We also employ the actuarial arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers to certify the adequacy of our loss reserves. They have again certified our reserves as adequate.

We don't put things like junk bonds or real estate in our investment portfolio. Our portfolio is very strong, all "investment grade," mostly bonds and a few stocks.

Any reinsurance we place is with established, "A" rated companies, something that is important to our policyholders in paying claims now and, in some cases, many years down the road.
