Holcomb, Ph.D. Dr. Holcomb, who began her career teaching middle school math and science, has worked in various capacities within the field of education. She has held senior management positions in the New York State Education Department, the Baltimore City Public Schools, various universities and colleges and in the corporate arena, most recently as Operations Vice President for Edison Schools, Inc. Dr. Holcomb earned a bachelors degree in elementary education from SUNY Plattsburgh, a masters degree in educational psychology from the College of St. Rose and her Ph.D. in educational research and evaluation from The Ohio State University. She is permanently certified as a classroom teacher, building administrator and central office administrator. She is a member of the American Educational Research Association and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Dr. Holcomb has received numerous professional honors, and has served on many community boards including the Schenectady YWCA, the Schenectady Child Guidance Center, the Baltimore Chapter of the American Heart Association and the Columbia Tennis Committee. She is currently a trustee for the College of St. Rose in Albany, New York. |
