New Hartford, N.Y., July 15, 2026 – Utica National Insurance Group announced today that Abel Travis will be joining the Company as Chief Operating Officer on July 27, 2026.

Travis joins Utica National Insurance Group after serving as Senior Vice President of Affiliate Operations and Companies at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, where he led a diverse portfolio of businesses and transformation initiatives. Prior to that, he held executive leadership roles at AF Group, The Hanover Insurance Group, Chubb, Travelers, and The Hartford.
Travis brings extensive insurance leadership experience spanning underwriting, operations, product management, innovation, strategy, and business transformation. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale operational initiatives, launched new businesses, driven profitable growth, and helped organizations modernize how they serve customers and compete in the marketplace.
