Bills Make a Statement in Home Opener!
In an unforgettable home opener, the Buffalo Bills topped Detroit 41-31, earning their first regular-season victory in the new Highmark Stadium. Buffalo came out firing, scoring touchdowns on its first three possessions
to quickly jump to a 21-0 lead.
Josh Allen led the way with a dominant performance, accounting for five of Buffalo’s six touchdowns. He threw three touchdown passes, connecting with Joshua Palmer, Dawson Knox, and Dalton Kincaid, while adding two rushing touchdowns of his own.
Detroit fought its way back into the game, catching up and narrowing Buffalo’s lead to 10 points in the 4th quarter – but the Bills persevered. Buffalo’s offense put together a late scoring drive capped by a James Cook III touchdown to extend the lead, while the defense held their ground to help secure the win.
The atmosphere matched the excitement on the field, with Bills fans rallying and tailgating outside before
and carrying that energy into the stadium. In the end, Buffalo came away with the 41-31 victory to boost
their record to 2-0 on the season.
